About Applications Development at UPS Technology:

Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4. 7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.

About this role:

The Applications Developer performs duties and tasks to support full systems life cycle management (e. g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. The person in this position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication and to support the achievement of objectives. He/she provides development, maintenance, and support for applications.

The Application Developer will support the AutoSortX Agile Transformation effort by developing new applications and tools to streamline development, distribution and support efforts while decreasing time to market and enhancing user experience.

The application developer will design and develop client server distributed applications in C#. NET with SQL Server Database. ASP. NET experience is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills, results oriented self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in C#. NET, ASP. NET Web Programming
  • Experience in Client Server Architecture and SQL & PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with Agile Development and Troubleshooting skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong verbal & written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Experience supporting AutoSortX applications

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
