Position Detail Clover Hill is in search of a Chef for the summer months of July and August while our Full-time Chef is away.
The ideal Chef will deliver a custom culinary program to our residents with an emphasis on health & wellness.
This is a hands-on role serving a maximum of 12 to 13 residents in an environment more closely resembling a small Bed and Breakfast than a hotel or large senior living facility.
We are searching for chefs who are competent in the kitchen and comfortable interacting with seniors.
We provide eclectic and memorable meals which speak to our residents' palates.
This is a full-time position for the months of July and August only, with daytime hours.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing creative meals and snacks Creating innovative menus with client preference and health requirements in mind Maintaining a sterile and clean work environment Purchasing and maintaining food and beverage inventory as is necessary
Qualifications:
Passionate with a creative mindset Well-rounded skillset in multiple geographic areas of cooking Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen Effective communicator and pleasant demeanor Can work independently and make competent decisions Proves to be reliable Able to create innovative menus with client preference and health requirements in mind Can creatively work with dietary restrictions Can consistently work within a designated budget Maintains a sterile and clean work environment Maintains food and beverage inventory If you are a culinary professional who is reliable, congenial, passionate, and would enjoy working in a smaller professional environment with seniors which allows you the ability to be creative, and you have at least two years of professional cooking experience, then we look forward to receiving your application.
